The wildflowers are in full bloom now. The favorites, or the most common ones, are the red Anemones (which bloomed first), Lupins, and the Almond Blossoms. The Lupins and the Almond Blossoms are now out in mass.
These pictures were taken on two different days at a hill in Armon HaNatziv a.k.a East Talpiyot.
To get here I walked past the Tayelet Haas Promenade which overlooks the south side of the Old City. I continued walking past the UN building and came to a dirt hill across the street and voila! I was greeted by a beautiful almond tree. I continued walking on a dirt path and came to view the Lupins. As I explored this area I discovered that I could also see the Dead Sea, Jordon, and the Old City! By the way-this is a 40 minute walk from our apartment. The Old City picture was taken at the Tayelet.
Oh, I almost forgot! When I loaded the pictures onto my computer I discovered that I had incidentally taken a picture of a bee that was whizzing by the lupin flower that I really was taking a picture of!
